Visiteurs-Visitors

ImageHaving a cottage in PEI means visitors drop in, including those of the winged variety. This evening I succeeded in getting a shot of one of the majestic eagles who soar overhead at various times of the day. I would not have noticed it. It was perched atop the tallest fir tree along the boundary line keeping an eye on things. The incessant caw of a raven/oversized crow who was sweeping from left to right and right to left over the white head drew my attention and my camera.

I filmed the interaction between the raven and eagle and took a few still shots to give you a taste. As I was trying to get another angle, the fir tree  was suddenly bare. The beautiful bald eagle headed home for the night. Hunting was done for the day. We are fortunate to have several families of bald eagles in this area. Seeing them soaring overhead is part of our daily routine.

Retirement sure is tough. La retraite est tellement désagréable!
